Elmer ( Al ) E Reimer, passed away peacefully at home on December 22, 2015. He was 88. Al was predeceased by his wife Joan, son Mark, sisters Louise Olson and Nita Hogue, and parents Elizabeth and PJB Reimer. He is survived and dearly missed by his daughter Cynthia Eeson, son Curt, and brother Syd, sister Charlotte Wiens, and grandchildren Jennifer Eeson, Lindsay Eeson, Mallory Eeson, Jamie Reimer and Megan Reimer. Roy Martin Broesky, age 71, of Steinbach, MB passed away peacefully with family by his side on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at Bethesda Regional Health Centre in Steinbach, MB.

He is survived his wife of 50 years, Mary; five children and their families: Gail (Vern Toews), Bob (Trish), Val (Jake Kasowan), Mike (Jacqui), Jamie (Clarissa); and 11 grandchildren: Collin (Megan), Kierstin (Matthew Ginter), Sheena, Spencer, Tia, Apollos, Christian, Matthew, Thom, Katie and a new one to arrive later this year! He is also survived by his brother Alvin (Jewel) and his four sisters: Dianne (Roy Enns), Doris (Reuben Enns), Lois (Jim Hamilton), Linda (Ron Koop), and Rose; as well as many uncles and aunts, nieces and nephews, friends and many, many of his long-standing customers.

Yvonne Kehler passed away peacefully January 27, 2016 at St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, with her family by her side. Yvonne was the daughter of the late Charlotte and James Potter, the sister of the late Bob Parker of Winnipeg, and was married for over 60 years to Dennis Leroy Kehler, who predeceased her in 2013. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend Dr. Elmer (Al) E. Reimer, 88, of Winnipeg, on Tuesday, December 22, 2015.

Kerry “Sam” Kehler, passed away unexpectedly in Palmer, Alaska , during the early morning hours of December 5, 2015.

His wife, Roberta, was the love of his life. His sudden death has left her in total shock and with unexpected expenses. Philippines needs to change charter

CSIS Southeast Asia Deputy Director Murray Hiebert says Malaysia and Vietnam will edge out the Philippines if it doesn’t join the 12-member TPP. CSIS Senior Adviser Christopher Johnson also says the TPP will help the Philippines be part of other trade deals.

Murray Hiebert serves as senior adviser and deputy director of the Southeast Asia Program at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington, D.C. Murray Hiebert,  a 3rd generation Berliner Kehler, is the son of (the late) Rosemarie (nee Wieler) and Abram Hiebert.

Kehler helps Abbotsford Veteran Get New Scooter

An 83-year-old Korean War veteran, Bert Wiebe, from Abbotsford who had his scooter stolen on Friday is back in the saddle thanks to a local company’s donation.

“I’d like to thank them very gratefully,” said Bert Wiebe. “I’m overwhelmed that the response came so quick.”

On Monday Abbotsford police said they had received five scooter offers in about two hours after they released information about the theft

The $5,000 scooter was Wiebe’s main mode of transportation, and his mobility was severely hampered without it.
“I didn’t think anybody would be as low as that. It’s my only way of getting around,” said Wiebe.

The beach was deserted as the storm steamed toward shore. Larry Kehler was hoping it would only sideswipe the pleasant resort town.

Normally, Larry Kehler and his wife, Cheryl, would be slicing pizzas and pouring beers for friends and tourists in their restaurant a couple of blocks from the shores of the scenic resort town of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

“We’d just be running our bar and partying,” said Kehler, who goes by the moniker “Señor Fox.”

It is with sadness that we say farewell to our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother Betty Dueck (nee Kehler).

She slipped away peacefully on Thursday, October 1st, 2015 with her family at her side. She was born on Friday, February 13, 1931 in the R.M. of Hanover to David S. and Helen Kehler. She was predeceased by her husband Gustav, her father, mother, one grandson and six brothers.
