A 26-year-old tradesperson who is already a decade into his carpentry career won a provincial award Nov. 2, capping off a banner year that saw him become a certified journeyperson and a father too.

On Tuesday, September 27th, 2022, our wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Tina Kehler left us to be with her Lord and Savior at the age of 85.

Tina leaves to cherish her memory: her husband of 64 years of marriage, Reuben Wellington Kehler; her children: Cliff (Tammy), Dolores (Mike), Audrey and Blake (Pamela Juneau and son Evan) as well as five grandchildren Christopher, Courtney, Natasha, Nick and Aimy and two Great-grandchildren Cayden & Tianna. On August 22, 2022, Harold Grunwald passed away peacefully in Winnipeg at the age of 85. During a work career spanning over 50 years, he mastered with ease many jobs ranging from upholstery to assembling heavy electrical transformers. A Collection of Stories about Peter J.B. Reimer

A new spiral bound book has been released, by Syd Reimer – A Collection of Stories About My Dad, Peter J.B. Reimer.

Peter J.B. Reimer wrote a weekly column in the Scratching River Post, “Allerhand in der Deutchen Ecke”, and Ralph Friesen has translated them into English. Many of the stories, were ones that Syd Reimer had never seen about his father’s life.

At 89 years old, Syd is proud to share these stories with the Kehler Clan! Together with his wife Helen, Syd lives in Winnipeg and has enjoyed the challenge of collaborating many stories into one book.

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of our daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, and friend. Karmen Lacey Peters passed on April 10th, 2022. She was 16 years old and a student at Ste Anne Collegiate.

Karmen was born on June 7th, 2005 at Ste Anne Hospital. From the moment she was born everyone fell in love with her. Her captivating smile brightened everyone’s day while her carefree laugh drew everyone closer to her. Susie Reimer (Kehler, née Giesbrecht) passed away peacefully at the Vernon Restholm, December 14th, 2021. Sue was born on February 21, 1931 in Steinbach, Manitoba. She spent much of her life across the continent, living in Manitoba, Alberta, Minnesota, and British Columbia.

She was a supportive sister to Bill Giesbrecht, Johnny Giesbrecht, Ann Krahn, Kay Bell (predeceased), and Mary Giesbrecht (predeceased); wife and partner to Henry Kehler (married 1950, predeceased), and Cornie Reimer (married 2006, predeceased); loving mother to Robert (Geanne), Larry (Cheryl), Elaine, and Russell (predeceased); kind step-mother to Lorna (Marty) Dickau, Trish (Barry) Dyck, Don (Jaclyn) Reimer, and Jim (Corine) Reimer; doting grandmother to Marcus, Angela, Rebecca, Nathaniel, and Jonathan; and, a pampering great grandmother of many step-grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Peacefully Judy passed away December 13, 2021 at her home in Rosenort, Manitoba at the age of 55 years.

She is survived by her husband Frank Schettler, son Jeremy Siemens, daughter Carly Siemens, son Callum Schettler, brother Paul Wiens and Pam Thiessen (Samantha and Tyler), and her beloved dog Cree.

Charlotte Wiens, 84 of Rosenort passed away Sunday November 14, 2021 at her residence in Rosenort, MB. She is survived by her son Paul Wiens and Pam Thiessen (Samantha and Tyler); daughter Judy  and Frank Schettler (Jeremy ,Carly and Callum); brother Syd and Helen Reimer, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Norman , her son David, her grandson Andrew Siemens, parents Peter and Elisabeth Reimer and 3 siblings.

In loving memory and with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great grandmother Mary Broesky on Saturday, November 13, 2021 with family by her side.

Mary was predeceased by her husband Roy, her parents Henry S. and Agatha Kehler, and her three brothers, Cornelius, Jacob and Peter(Jim).

A Private Celebration of Mary’s Life will be 2:00 pm on Friday November 19, 2021 at Crossings Funeral Care. Followed by the interment in the Steinbach Heritage Cemetery. The family invites you to join them via livestream.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Bethesda Foundation.
