Stanley Kehler (1938-2024)

With both joy and sorrow, our family celebrates Dad’s answered prayer of being called home for Christmas. Stanley Kehler passed away peacefully in his sleep on the morning of December 25, 2024, at the age of 86.

Stan is survived by his second wife, Martha. He leaves behind four children: daughter Laura Plett and her children Jeremy, Kara & Sidney Wiebe; daughter Valerie & Mark Reimer, with their children Jonah, Jerica & Joseph Nickel; son Brad & Pam, with their children Graeme and Peyton; son Chadwin & Nevada, with daughters Jade and Rynn. Eva Toews Kehler (1938-2024)

Eva Kehler passed away peacefully on Friday, October 4, 2024, surrounded by her family at Resthaven in Steinbach, MB.

She is survived by 2 daughters, 4 sons, and their families. She was predeceased by her 1st husband Peter ST. Kehler and her 2nd husband Neil Peters.

The funeral service for Eva Kehler will be held Saturday, October 12th at 2pm at Birchwood Funeral Chapel with burial at Heritage Cemetery. Viewing will be at the chapel prior to the service.

Reuben Wellington Kehler (1936-2024)

Sadly we are announcing that on Sunday, September 22, 2024, our father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, Reuben Wellington Kehler, left us to be with his Lord and Savior at the age of 88. Dad passed away peacefully with his entire family supporting him as he was waiting to be reunited with his wife Tina, whom he longed for daily. Russell Kenneth Plett (1958-2024)

It is with profound sadness that we the family share the untimely departure of Russell Kenneth Plett, affectionately known as Ken, on June 8, 2024, at the age of 66. It has left a deep void in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Ken was born on February 20, 1958, at the Misericordia Hospital in Winnipeg, MB. At the age of two, the perfect match was made when he was adopted and joined the Plett family in Riverton, MB. Elizabeth (Betty) Kehler Friesen (1933-2024)

The family announce the peaceful passing of Elizabeth (Betty) Friesen, nee Kehler, age 90 on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at the Rest Haven Care Home.

Betty was born to Henry S. and Agatha (nee Peters) Kehler on December 1, 1933, at Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach, Manitoba.

Betty’s childhood was mostly spent in Mitchell area on her parents’ farm. She attended school in Mitchell. Later she worked at a sewing factory in St. Pierre for many years, which is where she acquired her mastery of sewing. Continue reading “Elizabeth (Betty) Kehler Friesen (1933-2024)”

Cornelius (Corny) Stoesz (1941-2024)

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our dear husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather at the age of 82 at Bethesda Regional Health Center.

He is survived by his loving wife Joyce of 57 years; children Doyle (Raquel), Brent, Candace (Jamie); grandchildren Myles, Sienna (Rob), Rio, Noah, Tatianna, Ryder, Samuel, and Spencer; great grandchildren Phaetyn, Ivory and Wilder. Tina Kehler Neufeld (1928-2023)

Tina Neufeld passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at Maplewood Manor in Steinbach, Manitoba with family by her side, at the age of 95.

Bernard (Ben) W. Friesen (1933-2023)

Ben W. Friesen was born in the R. M. of Hanover on August 23, 1933 to David M. and Katarina Friesen. His early life was filled with challenges, especially when his mother passed away when he was merely two years old. When he was five years old his father remarried, this was quite an adjustment for this young lad.

Jake Dyck (1953-2022)

Jake was born in Steinbach, Manitoba, in 1953 and passed away surrounded by family at Health Sciences Centre in November 21, 2022 at the age of 69.

Jake leaves behind his beloved wife of 44 years Dianne, his daughter Kassie (Nathan), sisters Helene and Anne (Don), in-laws Myrna (Ray), Andy (Paula), Barb (Ken), Lorna (Gord), Edna (Sjoerd), Richard, nieces and nephews Lisa (Dan), Leilani (Tom), Leighton (Jenna), Natasha (Jeremy), Josh, Jackie (Randy), Cara (Ken), Barry (Jodie), Andrea (Greg), Leia (Mike), Robby (Tracey), AJ, Sydney (Patrick), Mikhail, Anastasia (Brad), Victoria, Ilse (Chris), Nicolas, Eric, as well as many grand-nieces and nephews. Henry Peters Kehler (1931-2022)

It is with mixed emotions that we announce the passing of Henry Kehler. We are happy for him because it was the desire of his heart to go to be with Jesus for a while already.

Henry was born at home on October 24, 1931, to Henry S. and Agatha Kehler. He had an interesting life, probably unusual to many people. He never married but looked after his parents as long as was necessary.
