In Victoria Square United Church at Gormley, Ontario, November 17 at 7:15 pm, Joan Doreen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Frederick of Pine Falls, Man., became the bride of Elmer E. Reimer, son of Rev. and Mrs. P.J.B. Reimer of Rosenort, Man.

In Victoria Square United Church at Gormley, Ontario, November 17 at 7:15 pm, Joan Doreen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Frederick of Pine Falls, Man., became the bride of Elmer E. Reimer, son of Rev. and Mrs. P.J.B. Reimer of Rosenort, Man. Rev. A.C. Houston officiated and the wedding music was played by Miss Carol Perkins. Soloist was Mrs. Allan Orr.
The bride wore a suit of taupe gabardine with Kelly green felt bonnet, the crown covered by a netting of brown, forming a semi-veil at the back. Her corsage was of deep red roses centered on white ostrich plumes. Mrs. K. Vogt, attend the bride and Ernest Vogt was the best man.
Mr. and Mrs. Reimer will reside at 15 Ravina Crescent, Toronto, Ontario.
Peter Kehler Wieler, 21, after suffering from Nephritis, passed away at the Bethesda Hospital on March 11, 1946 with his family by his side. Peter was the son of Henry U. and Susanna (Kehler) Wieler of Steinbach. He was born October 10, 1924 on a farm in the Hanover Municipality and later moved to Steinbach, where he attained his early education. Besides his parents, Peter leave’s to mourn his sisters, Helen (Joe) Grunwald, Elizabeth (Edwin) Giesbrecht, and Rosemarie. He also leaves behind nephews Harold and Henry Grunwald. Elisabeth Reimer, beloved wife of Rev. Peter J. B. Reimer, born March 20, 1903 to Jacob “Berliner” & Elisabeth Kehler, passed away on January 13, 1946 in Steinbach, MB.
Jacob Schultz Kehler (Onkel Joakopp) was the first son and the second child of the Berliner Kehler family.
He was a quiet, dignified man who lacked the physical robustness and boisterous nature of his brothers. He was plagued with rheumatism most of his adult life and sometime bedridden, even in his prime. But he never shyed away from farm work when his condition was up to it.

Gerhard (Onkel Jeaht) was the second son and third Berliner Kehler child.
Gerhard was a quiet, meticulous man who looked after his own concerns without selfishness or arrogance.
Gerhard married Katherina Unger Wieler November 2, 1914 in Chortitz.
They never had any children of their own. Both Gerhard and Taunte Tien loved children and always welcomed their nephews and neices with open arms.

Elisabeth Schultz Kehler, Mennonite pioneer, was born on 30 March 1866 in the Bergthaler Colony, South Russia. She was the fourth of ten children born to Aron K. Schultz (1834-1924) and Maria Harder (1839-1900). As a young adult she was baptized into the membership of the Bergthaler Mennonite Church but later in Canada was a member of the Sommerfelder Mennonite Church. In 1884 she married Jacob K. “Berliner” Kehler (1863-1923). Together they had 13 children (four daughter and nine sons) of which 11 survived to adulthood. Phyllis Kehler Wieler, beloved daughter of Henry and Susana Wieler. Phyllis was born in Steinbach, Mb on October 27, 1937 and died January 27, 1938.
