The Berliner Kehler clan is being represented at the Gimli Motorsports Park this summer once again. In reversed racing, Wayne Kehler, together with his son Reegan have been busy all winter prepping their car, #200X. Winnipeg Sports Car Club holds five race weekends in the summer months at the Gimli Motorsports Park. These race weekends are two days of non-stop racing on the 1.45 mile, 10 corner race track. Many Canadians and Americans visit Puerto Vallarta, especially during the winter months. Larry Kehler has been working with the children of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
Many Canadians and Americans visit Puerto Vallarta, especially during the winter months. Larry Kehler has been working with the children of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico since 2002. He started with the Refugio Infentile Orphanage, raising money for food and daily essentials. These fund raising efforts helped the Orphanage to build a new and better place for the homeless children to live and call home. Weekly shopping trips to Sam’s Club ensured they were well fed during the winter months. Summer months were more difficult, but they managed to keep them stocked during those months as well. Today, February 17th, marks 6 years since the passing of our amazing brother, Edgar Kehler. Seldom has a day passed without thinking about the many memories that were created as we grew up together.
Edgar was a special brother who touched the lives of many people. As brothers, we were very close in a relationship that kept us together for life as best friends. He was full of life, seeing the best of everyone he met. Those who knew him best admired him for the interest he took in each person. In meeting new people, one of the first things he’d do is the “Mennonite Connection” to see if there was a possibility of being a long lost relative. It seemed important to him. Chris Kehler, a Berliner Kehler – son of (the late) Edgar & Helen Kehler, together with business partner Jeff Mialkowski, opened the fine dining restaurant Horfrost, in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba in October 2007. The restaurant sits along River Road across from Ecole Arthur Meighen School.
My sister-in-law and I were crossing into the U.S. a few weeks ago to spend a day shopping and to pick up our baking supplies for our Christmas baking. The border agent asked us the purpose of our visit and we told him about our baking supply list and he asked us if we were planning on making “divinity.”

Growing up, a deep love for Christ and His Church was instilled and nurtured in me, and growing up in the family I did, a true passion for reading, ideas, and conversation was sparked and developed. Over the years, I’ve been extremely fortunate to have had many opportunities to combine these loves in a variety of ways, both through teaching High School English for about 10 years, and through my work as Minister of Worship in my church for the past 6 years.
Steinbach 42nd Annual Pioneer Days kicked off with the parade again this morning. Back in 1974, Randy Kehler, 8, son of Ben & Martha Kehler was the winner in the decorated bicycle competition.
