It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our dear husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather at the age of 82 at Bethesda Regional Health Center.

He is survived by his loving wife Joyce of 57 years; children Doyle (Raquel), Brent, Candace (Jamie); grandchildren Myles, Sienna (Rob), Rio, Noah, Tatianna, Ryder, Samuel, and Spencer; great grandchildren Phaetyn, Ivory and Wilder. Kehler Weighs in on South Carolina Drinking Water

Never mind the cost. Is the water they’re drinking in York County completely safe? Sure, they’re upset about the price. But it’s the water itself residents from across York County say isn’t fit to drink or have piping through their homes.

“Quite frankly, I couldn’t believe what I saw,” said Lee Kehler, who moved into his Lake Wylie home 12 years ago.

Kehler said in testimony Tuesday night the water in his home exceeds the federal action standard for lead. Kehler said Carolina Water Service tested the water in his home and found its lead count at 19 parts per billion. Federal rules state a water supplier has to take steps to control corrosion within its system if 10 percent or more of its customer taps exceed 15 parts per billion. Kehler said his 1983 home has all copper and plastic pipes, so he doesn’t know why the lead count would be high. Continue reading “Kehler Weighs in on South Carolina Drinking Water”

She will be dearly missed and forever remembered by her loving husband Marc; her sons Kyle and Brett; her mother Irene Kehler; her sister Denise (Lorne) Misanchuk; her brother Tim (Sandy) Kehler; her niece and nephews Hailey, Cody and Keegan Misanchuk; her mother- in-law Gisele Samson; her brother-in-law Gilles Samson; and her dear and close friends Joanne (Rick) Killin and Serge (Teresa) Larocque; as well as many other friends and family. Brothers Syd Reimer and Al Reimer recently composed a biography of their sister, a Berliner Kehler, Louise Reimer Olson. “A Treasure Chest of Joy” portaits some of the many struggles Louise faced, how she kept her integrity and passion for life. The book was released in March 2011.

Brothers Sydney Reimer and Al Reimer recently composed a biography of their sister, a remarkable Berliner Kehler, Louise Reimer Olson.

“A Treasure Chest of Joy” – The Life of Louise Reimer Olson, portraits some of the many struggles Louise faced, how she kept her integrity and passion for life. Louise was incredibly loyal and loving. She worked extremely hard to support her family and left a remarkable legacy. Louise passed away peacefully on February 19, 2011. The book was released in March 2011.

John Jacob Kehler, passed away on Saturday, March 13, 2010, in Surrey, BC.  Born in Glen Ewen, Saskatchewan on June 3, 1929. Predeceased by his loving wife Henritte L R Kehler on March 15, 2006. Dad passed away peacefully in his sleep, soulfully wishing to be reunited with his wife Hetty whom he missed dearly. Dad was a loving, devoted father, who worked hard to support his large family of four children throughout his younger years. He was also a caring grandfather, his greatest joy being family. With great sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Kelly Larson (Kehler) on March 2, 2009 at the Bethany Care Centre in Calgary at the age of 86. Kelly was predeceased by her husband Don in 1999;

Her parents, Aron and Elizabeth Kehler; brothers, Jake, Peter, John, George, Ernie, Ben; sisters, Betty and Susan. She will be lovingly remembered by her sister Mary; brother Dave (Irene); her children, Allen (Patricia), Phyllis (Len), Debbie (Tom), Brent (Colleen); grandchildren, Troy (Heather), Jennifer (Vance), Nicole (Jason), Erika (James) and her great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
